The Iraq Relief charity serves to facilitate an efficient coordinated response to the rehabilitation needs of the Iraqi healthcare system.
Aims
To co-ordinate groups efforts in the United Kingdom and provide a link between the United Kingdom and Iraq
Objectives
1) To develop a network of individuals, organisations and institutions working to improve health services in Iraq by:
· Building a database of relevant information regarding efforts and projects within Iraq to be used as a resource.
· Encouraging an interface between said parties and developing effective communication between local and national organisations
2) To relieve sickness and preserve health among people residing permanently or temporarily in Iraq by:
· Securing funds for local community projects, research and training through independent and collaborative efforts
· Assessing needs and aiding the provision of facilities, support services and equipment not currently provided by the statutory authority
· Raising Awareness of crucial health issues and campaigning to the Iraqi Ministry of Health, the World Health Organisation and the British Government.
